That seems to be the theme for covid. Staying home, staying in, and making the best of a bad situation. Gotta admit, for someone who loves to travel and getaways it seems worse knowing I’m not allowed to. Like a rebellious child who just wants to do what he’s not allowed to do. But…I have stayed put with the exception of parks.
Like many of you summer weather is slowly coming along and with it is the desire to be out. And we should be! We just have to be smart about it. Make the most of your at home space if you can. If you have a deck and backyard, add patio lights and cozy furniture.
Buy greenery and flowers and make your place a mini getaway or an oasis of sorts to use during your staycation days.
Or if you’re like me and live in an apartment with a small balcony, do the same on a much smaller scale.
Makes fun drinks and use fancy glasses for your morning coffee or when you BBQ to feel like you’re not at home.
Then, before long, beach days will be upon us and for those lucky enough, lake days. And while all that is fun and great it’s not always easy to access or time consuming. All we can do is make the most of what we can and be grateful for what we do have.
