Since quarantine has been upon us and travelling has been banned, one has to decide if you just stay home and wallow or go out and explore your surroundings. Granted, for a few weeks everything was off limits but as things ease up and bans are lifted it’s a good time to get out. With spring in full effect and summer just around the corner I knew it was my time to get out.
As someone who enjoys travelling and getting lost in new places, it’s actually quite sad how little I’ve actually explored and gotten lost in my own surroundings. Why must we always assume we must go far in order to feel like it’s a real adventure? And so I have opened myself up to seeing what Nova Scotia has to offer. https://novascotia.ca/Visitors/
Hidden up in the Valleys of Kings county, I decided on trying the Cape Split hike. https://parks.novascotia.ca/content/cape-split Approximately 13km both ways in a beautiful wooded terrain.

You sometimes felt like you were in a fairytale of sorts. All the way following the coastline I had no idea the workout I’d be getting. Up and down pathways, the terrain was easy to follow and once you get to the end, you realize the hike was worth the trouble.

Breathtaking views.

You kinda just wanna sit and ponder the beauty of life for a moment. Amazed at the nature found so close to home I encourage you to see what your hometown has to offer. So many times we feel we must go far away but there is so much beauty surrounding us, it truly felt like a getaway.
Get out there and explore. Adventure. And stop believing there is nothing to see and do where you come from because I’m sure there’s a lot more than you’d ever imagine.

Nova Scotia looks quite beautiful, you’re lucky 🙂 I am from Lisbon and these days the quarantine stopped but still we’re in the middle of a chaos in progress… Anyway, hopefully soon we will have again the chance to travel in the country 🙂 stay safe and greetings from Portugal, PedroL
